Recently, they invited families from Texas to be among the first to explore what this enchanting destination will look like, sharing their experiences through an exciting video on social media.
Discovering the Universal Kids Resort Model
The lucky families traveled to the Universal Creative Campus located in Orlando, Florida, where they had the opportunity to meet Brian Robinson, the Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Universal.
Robinson spoke passionately about the vision behind the resort, stating, "Every decision, every sign, every attraction, every character, every idea is through this incredible alchemy of what kids see and what they imagine." This insight highlights how deeply the design is rooted in understanding children's perspectives and fantasies.
The model presented showcases a stunning 300-room hotel that connects directly to the Universal Kids Resort. Upon entering, guests will find themselves in the Isle of Curiosity, an entrance area designed around the beloved Gabby’s Dollhouse—an introduction to the whimsical world that awaits.
Other themed areas within the resort include:
- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp: A lush, green landscape inspired by the beloved ogre and his friends.
- DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar: A vibrant seaside setting featuring everyone's favorite feline hero.
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club: A playful environment filled with mischievous minion antics.
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp: An exciting dinosaur-themed area that promises adventure at every turn.
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest: A colorful celebration inspired by the popular Trolls franchise.
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom: Dive into the underwater world of SpongeBob and his friends.
Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, expressed her excitement about the project, saying, "What we’re doing with Universal Kids Resort is we’re taking those stories and characters and we’re building worlds that families and kids can walk right into." This initiative aims to create immersive experiences where children and their families can engage with their favorite characters and stories in a tangible way.
